about
Stay Another Day is a song about seasonal affective disorder (S.A.D.)
and how it affects me during the winter. The aim was to capture the feeling of summer and finding acceptance of this depression that becomes part of you, and that you grow comfortable with it, because you don't fear it in the same way anymore.
lyrics
In the summer, you had me feeling like never before.
But summer's over, you're not feeling it anymore.
You're getting warmer. Now the spring is rolling round.
You're growing bolder. Now the flowers have broken ground.
I thought, I thought, I thought I saw you in the corner.
and in my mind, my mind you'll always be there.
I know you're tired, although you're still to leave your bed.
I know the feeling, the feeling that's in your head.
The feeling you felt, cold as ice but ice melts in the summer sun.
So don't give up yet, cause I know that the best is yet to come.
I thought, I thought, I thought I saw you in the corner.
And I thought, I thought, I thought I recognised your stare.
I know, I know, I know, I know I'm always dreaming.
But in my mind, my mind you'll always be there.
So Stay Another Day.
Stay Another Day.
I thought, I thought, I thought I saw you in the corner.
and I thought, I thought, I thought I recognised your stare.
I know, I know, I know, I know I'm always dreaming.
But in my mind, my mind you'll always be there.
So Stay Another Day.
